Fire Safety

Working with fire requires awareness, skill and a deep respect for fire safety.

The fiery spectacle we are known to create requires months of preparation, the proper fuels and equipment and most importantly a team of people who are trained in fire prevention and safety.

We recognize the rising popularity of the fire arts, and know that whenever we light up we represent not only our troupe but a community of fire artists. As such we take every precaution to ensure that our shows are both entertaining and safe.

For public events Radiant Heat is committed to the following standards:

- a fire safety plan and insurance for each event
- permission to conduct an open burn from the fire department (burn permit)
- a 1:3 ratio of perimeter safety people to lit performer
- a dedicated fuel master
- use of clean burning fuels wherever possible
